Md. Muzibur Rahman :
Sayed Nazrul Islam, Tazuddin Ahmed, M. Monsur Ali and A.H.M. Kamruzzaman-the four national leaders were the unparallel leader of Bangladesh and worthy sons of the nation. They were all colleagues, bosom friends of Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahman and dedicated leaders for the cause of independence and aftermath leading the nation. They were active leaders in Bangabandhu’s Awami League party from its inception, foundation and lead the nation during the Liberation War (26th March-16th December).
When Pakistani forces attacked Bangladesh (the then East Pakistan) on 25th March, 1971 and arrested Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahman and took him to the West Pakistan, then these four leaders took the helm of the party and guided the nation to the independence. They formed temporary revolutionary Government named “Muzib Nagar Sarker” on 17th April, 1971 in the mango garden of Meherpur, Kushtia which was apparently parallel to the then Pakistan Government.
On this day, “Muzib Nagar Sarker” took oath as the President of Bangladesh was Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahman, Vice-President was Sayed Nazrul Islam,Tazuddin Ahmed as Prime Minister, M. Monsur Ali and A.H.M. Kamruzzaman took other portfolios as Ministers. They formed the “Mukti-Bahini” and divide the war zone in 11 Sectors under the command of Colonel M.A.G. Osmani (Commander in Chief) and led the war bravely, intelligently and with their great wisdom.
They also worked and guided the “Joint forces” (Mukti-Bahini and Indian force) befittingly. They took and led the national and international diplomacy & liaison for the cause of independence & gave directions to the people of Bangladesh through electronic media like “Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra” & print media published from Bangladesh & India. After 09 months struggle, we got independence in the 16th December, 1971. Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahman was freed & returned from Pakistan jail in the 10th January, 1972 & engaged to rebuild & re-construction of the nation. He put best his efforts to re-organise the nation with mentioned above four leaders (Sayed Nazrul Islam, Tazuddin Ahmed, M. Monsur Ali & A.H.M. Kamruzzaman) & other colleagues & strengthened ties with neighbouring countries & with other countries in the world. When he was formulating policies, identifying problems, prospects and potentialities of the nation & taking steps one after another for the development & re-construction, then he (Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahman) and his family was brutally killed by some unruly army personnel in the early hour of 15th August, 1975 who were ambitious of possessing illegal power.
It was a domestic and international conspiracy against our nation and our people so that Bangladesh could not get ready for rapid development in near future. These unkind and inhuman activities which had happened in the 15th August, 1975 was the attack and killing of a great leader of the nation as well as killing of image of the country and stopped development efforts of Bangladesh for a long time. In this continuation, our four national leaders (Sayed Nazrul Islam, Tazuddin Ahmed, M. Monsur Ali & A.H.M. Kamruzzaman) were killed brutally in central jail of Dhaka in the dark night of 3rd November, 1975 whose were the nation’s conscience and great assets who could lead the country in future course of development & build “Sonar Bangla”.
They were also intellectuals of the nation. An intellectual is an asset who is rich in knowledge, experience and wisdom, who can show the way of development in socio-economic, cultural development of the nation. They were pioneer, visionary leader, inventor, mentor, discoverer and dedicator for their contribution in different fields and in many ways. They could make happy themselves, society and the nations in multidimensional ways. If they had lived, they would shape the development of Bangladesh in different way.
They were great leaders, our friends and real patriots, invaluable lives of the country who could change the nation with their knowledge, wisdom and abilities. It should be identified, investigated and researched of actual killers and the conspirators of this dangerous tragedy and should be brought to book and justice, justified immediately. If the traitors and killers of our four national leaders are trailed and punished in a befitting way, the nation will get some relieves from the curse of injustice. Their souls will be happy. We pray for them for their salvation of souls & May Allah put them in Heaven for eternal peace.
