The 20th death anniversary of the founder of Islam Group and pioneer of Bangladeshi business Al-Hajj Jahurul Islam is going to be held today.
He died on 19th October, 1995 at the age of 67. On 26th September, 1995; Al-Hajj Jahurul Islam went to Singapore for treatment, but expired on 19th October midnight due to a massive heart attack.
As a prominent business man, entrepreneur and social activist, he became a popular personality. Jahurul Islam was born in Bhagalpur village of Bajitpur Thana under Kishoreganj district on 1 August, 1928.
He came from a traditional business family. A Milad and Doa Mahfil will be held at Bhagalpur in Kishoregonj. On behalf of his family members, all relatives and well-wishers are invited to attend the programme.
