Jagannath University now have taken solo lead at the points table with maximum six match points after the the completion of the 3rd round games in the BERGER 1st Inter University Chess Championship now being held at BRAC University Auditorium.
BRAC University Red and Dhaka University-1 are jointly in second position with 5 points each.
In the day’s 3rd round games held on Tuesday, Jagannath University beat Khulna University by 3-1 games, BRAC University Red beat BRAC University Green by 3-1 games, Dhaka University-1 beat BUET 3.5- 0.5 games, BRAC University Blue beat Eastern University by 2.5-1.5 games.
Daffodil International University (DIU) beat Green University by 2.5-1.5 games, Dhaka University-2 beat University of Liberal Arts, Bangladesh by 2.5-1.5 games and Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) beat Chittagong Commerce College by 2.5-1.5 games.
United International University got walk-over against Independent University Bangladesh-1 by 4-0 points, Prime Asian University got walk-over against Independent University Bangladesh-2 by 4-0 points and Jahangirnagar University split point with BUET-1 by 2-2 games.
