Jagannath Hall emerged as the champions of the Boys’ Division of the 47th Inter-Hall Athletics Competition of Dhaka University (DU), while Rokeya Hall became champions of the Girls’ Division on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall finished runners-up of the Boys’ Division, while Bangladesh-Kuwait Maitree Hall became runners-up of the Girls’ Division on the same day. The two-day long competition concluded at Central Playground of DU.
After the competition, Treasurer of Dhaka University Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. President of Dhaka University Professor Dr Md Akhteruzzaman presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
A total of 19 halls of Dhaka University took part in the sports meet.
Earlier, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of Dhaka University Professor Dr Shahid Akhtar Hossain inaugurated the competition as the chief guest on Tuesday last.
