Advocate Mohammad Abul Hasan, state-appointed counsel for Engineer Abdul Jabbar on Monday concluded cross-examining 16th prosecution witness (PW), Tikendra Nath Majumder. After the conclusion of the cross-examination, the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 adjourned the hearing till today. Majumder, 61, a native of village Mothbaria under Mothbaria upazila in Pirojpur, submitted his deposition against the fugitive former Jatiya Party MP yesterday, accusing Jabbar for ordering the abduction, torture and killings of his father, grandfather and uncles.
The ICT-1 on August 14 indicted Jabbar, allegedly the chairman of Mothbaria unit of Peace Committee in Pirojpur during the War of Liberation, framing five charges of crimes against humanity against him.
