Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar on Tuesday laid emphasis on the need of verifying national identity (NID) to open Facebook account. “Our relation with Facebook authorities is far better now than ever. Bengali is used in Facebook, but we are facing some problems in using the contents. I hope Facebook will take effective initiatives to solve the problems,” Jabbar said.
The minister came up with the observations while addressing a workshop on tackling, controlling, monitoring digital crimes on social networking sites, and taking legal actions against these at capital’s BTRC auditorium.
