Post and Telecommuni-cation Minister Mustafa Jabbar on Monday urged the common people not to pay heed to a rumour on free distribution of 10GB data surfacing in various social media like Facebook, messenger and WhatsApp.
The status said “The government of Sheikh Hasina is giving 10GB data for free for 30 days. Just send this message to 29 users and then check your balance two minutes later. At first I didn’t believe it, my friend received it, then I shared it and thus I received,” said a handout.
It said this matter is not true and a vested quarter is circulating this rumour with an ill motive.
Concerned team is working relentlessly to detect those who are creating rumours in various social media and thus taking stern legal action.
The minister also urged all not to pay heed to any kind of rumour.
