South Africa seamer Lungi Ngidi believes he has a point to prove against Bangladesh in the first of three One Day Internationals, which begins on Friday at SuperSport Park in Centurion.
Ngidi was a member of the ill-fated 2019 Cricket World Cup group, bowling only four overs for 34 runs in a 21-run loss to the Tigers at The Oval.
Ngidi was plagued by injury in that tournament, but that scarring defeat hasn’t healed much. The Titans bowler said they’re better prepared for anything Bangladesh will throw at them
“We’re more focused and prepared for this tour. We’ve played Bangladesh in the past and they have beaten us. To be honest, I’ve got a point to prove. We ran up against them in the World Cup and they got the better of us,” Ngidi said.
“We definitely have a point to prove and we need to be as clinical as we would be against any other team,” he added.
