Staff Reporter :Vice-Chancellor of International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) Professor M Alimullah Miyan sought help and cooperation from all quarters to run the university smoothly. Fearing further attacks by the miscreants, he demanded additional security to save the university.Professor M Alimullah Miyan, the VC of the IUBAT, finally urged the students and the guardians to cooperate with the university administration to protect the university.The VC said this while talking to The New Nation on Sunday. A press conference was also arranged separately on the IUBAT’s Uttara campus in this regard recently. He said, a group of influential people is trying to grab the land of the university, but failing to grasp it, they attacked the campus injuring about 100 teachers, students and security guards. They also vandalized many buses and cars of the university. “We want to build the students to international standard and to make them assets of the country. But a certain quarter, which does not like education and science, has been hampering the academic activities of the university. They have been also trying to create unrest on the university campus with ultimate aim on the university land,” the VC said.
