Professor Mahmuda Khanam, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Board Member of International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) passed away on Monday at Gonoswashthya Nagar Hospital. She was 86.
Prof Khanam did her M.A. from Indiana University, USA as well as from Rajshahi University (RU). She secured first class first in MA at RU. She did her BA from RU too. She was Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Establishment, and Ministry of Social Welfare and Women’s Affairs.
She was appointed as the Pro Vice-Chancellor of IUBAT University in 1999.
Her Namaz-e-Janaza was held on the IUBAT University premises at 11:30 AM on Monday last.
All the relatives and admirers of the deceased are requested to pray for the salvation of the departed soul.
