IUBAT University earned a huge 5-0 goal victory over Stamford University in the Walton First Inter-University Football Tournament, the Faraz Challenge Cup, at the Kamalapur Stadium here on Tuesday.
Shamim of the winning team was adjudged the best player of the match.
The two other matches of the day at the same venue ended in a draw. ULAB drew one-all with North South University while Sonargaon University played to a goalless draw with Bangladesh Agricultural University.
Anik of North South University and Saif of Agricultural University named as the best players in their respective matches.
At the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Southern University earned a comfortable 5-1 goal victory Bangladesh Textiles University while South East University beat Ahsanullah University by 3-1 goal.
Nurul Afsar of Southern University and Mansur of South East University were adjudged best players in the respective matches.
Four more matches will be held on Wednesday, two each in Bangabandhu National Stadium and Kamalapur Stadium.
