IU Correspondent :
The students of Islamic University (IU), Kushtia demonstrated on the campus with various slogans against evening course on Monday.
Over one hundred students from various departments took part in the demonstration in front of the university’s administration building under the banner of ‘Bangladesh Chhatro Moitri’ IU unit.
The agitating students said that the students of the Islamic University suffered a lot due to evening course as the teachers don’t take the classes of the regular students rather they pay much attention to the students of evening course for a good income.
If they (teachers) don’t leave it, the students will face various problems in their academic activities, the agitating students added.
IU unit Chhatro Moitri President Morshed Habib stated if the university administration don’t take any initiative to stop the evening course, we will call for greater movement against evening course.
Earlier, the university administration took a decision to stop the evening course in term of the 242nd syndicate meeting of the university on October 2.
On 25 February, Islamic University Teachers Associations (IUTA) demanded resumption of the evening course in a meeting.
