IU publishes list of 53 absentee students

The authority of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia has published a draft list of some 53 students, who have remained absent from classes for ten days without any cause, following the directives of the Education Ministry and the University Grant Commission (UGC).
IU Proctor Professor Dr. M Mahbubar Rahman on Friday said the draft list was prepared with the information available from the chairmen of the respective departments.
Any allegation or correction in this regard is supposed to inform the university registrar, students’ advisor or proctor, the proctor said.
Prof Rahman also said the final list of the absentee students will be published after scrutiny of the allegations after the Eid-ul-Azha vacation.
The listed absentee students are – six of Folklore Studies department, 11 of Management department, 13 of Finance and Banking department, five of Marketing department and 18 of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology department of the university.
