The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday approved a project of Taka 497.34 crore for establishing academic, administrative and residential buildings at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina chaired the ECNEC meeting at the National Economic Council in the capital, an IU press release said. The project includes a 10-storey academic building, four residential buildings for students, one residential building for teachers and officers, one residential building for lower class employees, B bloc of Sheikh Russel Hall, B bloc of 2nd administrative building and extension of sixteen buildings of the university.
IU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari was present in the ECNEC meeting.
