Dr Talukdar Lokman Hakim, a professor of Islamic History and Cultural Department of Islamic University (IU), Kushtia has been appointed as the vice-chancellor of ZH Sikdar University of Science and Technology in Shariaitpur.
A notification, signed by deputy secretary of Ministry of Education Shamima Begum, confirmed the appointment on July 28 at noon.
According to section-31(1) of Private University Act 2010, Chancellor of the University Abdul Hamid appointed him to the post for next a four year terms, stated the notification. Prof Dr Talukdar Lokman Hakim appointed to the post as the tenure of previous vice-chancellor Professor Dr Zannatul Ferdous came to an end.
