Pro-Vice Chancellor of Islamic University (IU), Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman resigned from his post on Sunday. University Registrar office and VC office confirmed the information.
Registrar office sources said that, He sent resignation letter to the secretary for education ministry on Sunday at 10 A.M
Vice Chancellor office sources said, a copy of his resignation has been submitted to the President and the Chancellor of the university Adv. Abdul Hamid on Sunday morning.
Prof M Shahinoor Rahman said to the New Nation, Actually I resigned to continue my study and research. I did not get much time while I was in the post. No other reason instead.
University Vice chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Hakim sarker said, I heard about his resignation.
Now the government will take the decision if they accept his resignation letter or not and decide who will be the next pro-vice-chancellor.
