The officials of Islamic University in Kushtia formed a human chain demanding fulfillment of their three-point charter on the campus on Tuesday.
Around three hundred officers under the banner of IU Officers’ Association formed the human chain in front of the university administrative building around 11:00 am.
Later, they submitted a memorandum to Vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari.
The three demands are increasing of salary scale and the age limit of retirement to 62 years from 60 years and change the working hours of the university from 8:00am to 2:00pm instead of 9:00am to 4:30pm.
Leaders of the association said they would continue their demonstration on the campus until their demands are met.
