IU holds fresher’s reception

Central orientation for the first year honours courses students under the academic session 2019-20 was held at Islamic University (IU), Kushtia with much enthusiasm and amid festive mode on Monday.
 Islamic University authority organised the ceremony at the Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman auditorium of the university around 10:30 am.
Presided by IU student advisor Prof Dr M Saidur Rahman, the programme was addressed by IU vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari as the chief guest.
 Dr Arun Kumar Bosak, an emeritus Prof of Rajshahi University Physics department addressed the function as the chief discussant while IU pro vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and its treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha were present as the special guests. Among others, Business Administration Faculty dean Prof Dr Arabinda Saha, proctor Prof Dr Paresh Chandra Barman, Marketing department chairman Prof Dr Zakaria Rahman spoke here. IU acting registrar S M Abdul Latif delivered the welcome speech conducted by the Law and Land Management department lecturer Shahida Akter Asha and Banani Afrin jointly attended by more than two thousand students.
 While addressing the function Prof Dr Arun Kumar Bosak urged to the newcomers that you have to discover something new which enriched our education system.
 The students failed to cope with their present situation due to their next memorization. You must have to cherished dream to rich pinnacle of the success. Otherwise your destination would be terminated, he said.
 Later, a cultural programme participated by university students held at the auditorium.
