IU expels a student over admission test forgery

The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Monday expelled a student permanently from the University for his involvement in the first year honours courses admission test forgery under 2015-16 academic sessions.
The expelled student was identified as Ripon Ali, a master’s student of Mathematics Department of the university, registrar office sources said . .
The decision was taken from an emergency meeting of students discipline and security committee of the university with vice chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Hakim Sarker in the chair.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, Acting Registrar SM Abdul Latif, Student’s Adviser Professor Dr Anowar Hossain, Arts faculty dean Professor Dr Ruhul Amin, Acting controller of examination Mohammad Ali were present, among others.
