The second reunion of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology Department of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia was held on Friday amid fanfare and festivity.
Held at the central auditorium of the university, Vice-Chancellor of the IU Prof Dr Abdul Hakim Sarker inaugurated the discussion ceremony as the chief guest.
Former Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr M Alauddin, Vice Chancellor of Jessore Science and Technology University (JSTU) Prof Dr M Abdus Sattar and IU Pro-VC Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman were present as special guests.
Chairman of the department, Prof Dr Tanziam Pervin presided over the ceremony while former dean of the Applied Science and Technology Department Prof Dr Bhupesh Chandra Roy and Convener of the 2nd reunion programme Dr Sharif Md Al-Reza were present as guests.
Sraboni Barsha and Mahmudul Kabir, students of the department, conducted the function. More than five hundred current and former teachers and students of the department attended the ceremony.
