Chanting slogan ‘a better future for all’ The World Tourism Day was celebrated at Islamic University (IU), Kuhtia on Saturday amid festivity and much enthusiasm.
IU Tourism and Hospitality Management department celebrated the day through various programmes on the campus including – bringing out of a colourful rally, cleanliness campaign and painting on the campus.
To mark the day, a colourful procession was brought out from the Business Administration building of the university led by IU treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha.
IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif, Business Administration faculty dean, Prof Dr Arabinda Saha, Tourism and Hospitality department chairman Prof Dr Mahbubul Arfin, Librarian (acting) M Ataur Rahman and Shoriful Islam lecturer of Tourism and Hospitality department took part in the rally.
The rally was ended at the same place after parading the main roads of the campus attended by more than 200 hundred students and officials of the department.
