The authority of Islamic University (IU) was observed historic 7th march on the campus in Kushtia commemorating father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s epoch making speech in 1971.
Following the day, teachers and officers of the university brought out a procession from in front of the administrative building led by its vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari around 11:30am.
The procession was ended in front of ‘Mrittunjoyee Mojib’ moral adjacent to the university main entrance area after parading main roads of the university.
The procession was participated, among others, by IU pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha, registrar in-charge SM Abdul Latif, IUTA president Prof Dr M Kazi Akther Hossain. After the procession, the university authority with teachers and officers paid tribute to father of the nation by placing floral wreath at Bangabandhu’s Moral ‘Mrittunjoyee Mojib’.
