Tonu’s mother Anwara Begum on Sunday rejected the 2nd autopsy report and claimed it was fake report.
The victim’s mother made the disclosure while replying to newsmen in Alokharchar area of Comilla district on Sunday afternoon. She said, “I am not satisfied with the report. It’s a fake report. I want justice.”
Anwara Begum also said, “If the military authority wants then we will leave cantonment area. We will quit their job if we get back my daughter.” Earlier in the day, Dr Kamoda Prosad Saha, head of Comilla Medical College Hospital’s forensic department who headed Tonu’s second autopsy said, the second autopsy of Comilla college student Sohagi Jahan Tonu has found evidence of “sexual intercourse”.
Tonu was murdered on 20 March. Her body was found in a bush inside Comilla cantonment. The initial autopsy was conducted the next day but the cause of death and evidence of rape was not found.
Allegations have it that the report had concealed information. Tonu’s parent’s also rejected the first report outright.
