The 12th Dhaka ITF Taekwondo competition began on Monday at National Sports Council (NSC) gymnasium in the city.
NSC Secretary Ashok Kumar Biswas inaugurated the meet as the chief guest while Walton Group operative director, head of games and sports, FM Iqbal Bin Anwar was present as special guest.
On first day of the competition, Mim of Walton Taekwondo team emerged champion in the 59-kg women’s weight category while Sanha of Central
Taekwondo Association team finished runners-up.
Besides, Nahin of Central Taekwondo Association emerged champion in the 63-kg weight category while Nadiba of Walton Taekwondo team finished runners-up.
On the other hand, Nayeem of Central Taekwondo team emerged champions in the men’s senior division under-85-kg weight categories while Saidur Rahman of Bashundhara Taekwondo team finished runners-up.
