The High Commission of India celebrated the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) and Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) Day in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Marking the day, a programme was organized at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) by the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.
ITEC and ICCR alumni along with members of the Youth Delegations that have visited India attended the programme, said a press release.
The ITEC Programme was instituted on September 15, 1964 as part of India’s Development Assistance Programme within the framework of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation and South-South cooperative strategy, offering developing countries the benefit of India’s development experience and appropriate technologies. Bangladesh is one of India’s principal ITEC partners.
