When actress Raashi Khanna walked out of a pool wearing a swimsuit in Ravi Teja-starrer Bengal Tiger, she got trolled heavily for being too ‘chubby’ to carry off a bikini. Unfazed, Raashi continued to work towards one goal – being the “best version” of herself. Four years since, she’s not only the fittest she’s ever been, but is also bagging stronger roles. her upcoming film, Venky Mama will see Raashi, looking svelte and sexy in her role as a spunky filmmaker. “This is one film I am super excited about. I play a headstrong filmmaker, who’s really cool and modern. She speaks her mind and does what she wants. My look will be a surprise; my styling is very different, uber chic and modern.”
Talking about the comic caper, which stars Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya, Raashi says, “It’s fun to attempt comedy. it’s a genre I enjoy a lot. The film is about the relationship between a mama and a bhanja and it’s a hilarious entertainer, set in Rajahmundry.”
Her sensational ‘total body transformation’ which is being talked about on social media is a result of many years of hard work, says the actress. “I’ve always been working out, but you don’t get results overnight. I’m not someone who believes in crash dieting. It took me two of years of hard work to get the body that makes me feel healthy and happy. I still workout six days a week and follow a healthy, balanced diet complete with carbs and proteins,” says Raashi, who has two more Telugu films and a Tamil one in the pipeline.
