An information technology professional is reportedly missing in Dhaka for three days now.
Ataur Rahman Shahin, 38, was an assistant general manager at a private institution in Tejgaon. He was reportedly hustled into a microbus in Gulshan on Thursday night.
Victim’s uncle Saiful Islam filed a missing diary on Friday in connection with the incident.
The video footages of nearby CCTV cameras show he was shoved into a white microbus around 8:05pm on Thursday. The car’s number plate was yet to be determined.
The vehicle was stationed in front of Akij House since 7:22pm where Atiur went on official purpose, said Manjur Hossain, his brother-in-law, who claims to have seen the footage.
As he was waiting for a rider of a ride-sharing service, three men were seen shoving him into the microbus and speeding away from the spot.
Manjur also said the men shown in the video footage seemed well-built in stature.
Ataur completed his education in India’s Bangalore, specialising in software engineering. He lives with his family in Dhaka’s Mirpur area.
He has an eight-year-old boy and a pregnant wife, family sources said.
