The government will take steps to ensure maximum use of information technology in education management with a view to further advancing what has been achieved so far, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said on Saturday. “Success of the technological intervention in the admissions process of HSC level for two consecutive years has given us the confidence to take up more activities relying on technology,” he said.
The minister said this while addressing a workshop on online admissions at HSC level at the National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM) Auditorium in the city.
Nahid said steps will be taken to run the online admission activities more skillfully and effectively in consultation with IT experts, educationists, principals of colleges, and education managers.
The workshop participants – principals of government and non-government colleges under Dhaka city and officials of the education administration -shared their views on the just-concluded online admission process.
The programme also discussed quality of education at the higher secondary level.
