A memorandum of understanding was signed between the management of the newly constructed specialized hospital in Chittagong named Imperial Hospital Ltd and Austrian Medicare company VAMED yesterday.
Managing Director of the IHL Amjadul Ferdous Choewdhury and VAMED Managing Director Mr. Christopo Wigals signed the MoU on respective sides.
Chairman of the IHL Dr. Rabiul Hasan delivered address of welcome on the occasion. Editor of Daily Azadi MA Malek preside over the MOU signing ceremony. IHL is a 350 bed capacity multidisciplinary specialisted hospital situated over 7 acres of land.
In this MOU signing ceremony, IHL Chairman disclosed that the IT based medical service based hospital will have 350 beds including 75 specialised beds. He said in the first phase, this hospital will operate with 200 beds.
For operation and management of the hospital, initially, a 5-yr long agreement has been signed with VAMED in which VAMED shall deploy fulltime senior management team who shall assist IHL in theuse of equipment and it system.
Besides, they shall assist IHL in the selection, training, technical staff and development systems to ensure delivery of quality service, he added.
In order to develop trained and motivated nurses and technicians, IHL has made provision for nursing and allied health institutes alongwith accommodation in campus and 10 percent of hospital beds will remain reserved for indigenous people.
For quick and safe transmission of critical patients, hospital has made provision of latest type ambulance fitted with all necessary life support.
Beside the hospital has made provisions for helipad service to carry patents from remote areas, The hospital has also made provisions of in campus accommodation for the conveneieces of patients and their attendants coming from distinct areas, sources said.
