UNB, Dhaka :Ismat Jahan, ambassador of Bangladesh in Brussels, has been reelected member of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).Earlier, she was a member of the committee for a four-year term (2011-2014) and now she will serve as the new member for the next four years (2015-2018), said a release of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Bangladesh.The election was held at United Nations on Thursday.A total of 18 candidates contested for 12 vacant posts of the body, the release added.
