Bangladesh Islamic Party, a partner of BNP-led 19-party alliance, arranged a discussion on “Indian Aggression: Our Responsibility” at its office in the city on Friday marking the 38th anniversary of Farakka Long March Day.
President of the party Advocate Abdul Mobin chaired the programme while NDP secretary general Alamgir Majumder, Islamic Party secretary general MA Rashid Prodhan, vice chairman Md Ejaj Hossain, party leaders Abu Taher Chowdhury, Hafez Shahidul Islam, Md Habibur Rahman, Md Abul Quashem, Advocate Al Amin, Eliasur Rahman and Ismail Hossain addressed it, among others.
Advocate Abdul Mobin said that Bangladesh is facing Indian aggression due to submissive foreign policy of the Awami League government. India is constructing dams and barrages on the common rivers at the upstream violating international law, but Bangladesh government is keeping silence. A strong resistance has to be built against the Indian aggression, he added.
