Several Islamic parties on Friday staged demonstration demanding cancellation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bangladesh visit on the occasion of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary.
The like-minded Islamic parties arranged a rally and brought out a protest procession from in front of the North Gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka after Jum’a prayer.
At the rally, they programmed to form human chain across the country
and in the capital on March 12 if Modi’s invitation is not cancelled.
Allama Nur Hossain Kasemi, Dhaka Metropolitan Unit Ameer of Hefajat-e-Islam, said it. Later, the procession paraded through the Paltan area.
