Islami Bank observes National Mourning Day

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited observed the National Mourning Day and the 41st Death Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibur Rahman in befitting manner and due formalities, according to a press release.
On 13 August 2016, a discussion and doa mahfil was arranged at the bank’s head office to the mark the National Mourning Day. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director, the program was attended by Engr. Mustafa Anwar, Chairman, Board of Directors along with other directors, seniors executives and officials of the bank. On 14th August 2016, separate discussions and doa mahfils were arranged at 304 branches and 14 zone offices of the bank on the occasion.
On 15th August 2016, the Bank offered a special munajat and placed floral wreath on Bangabandhu’s memorial plaque at Dhanmondi on the occasion of National Mourning Day. On behalf of the Bank, Engr. Mustafa Anwar, Chairman, Professor Syed Ahsanul Alam, Chairman, Executive Committee, Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman, Audit Committee, Professor Dr. Qazi Shahidul Alam, Major General (rtd) Engr. Abdul Matin, Md. Wahiduzzaman Khandakar, Md. Syful Islam, FCA, FCMA, Md. Joynal Abedin, Directors and Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of the Bank placed the wreath.
