It seems fairly obvious that the work was that of a madman -ISIS fighters modus operandi do not include stealing chips from a casino – suicide fighters don’t normally steal chips as their intention is to kill and be killed. Rather they indulge in an orgy of murder and mayhem. Since the Manila Police Chief has stated that this was not an act of terrorism, it should be clear, unless more evidence contrary to this comes to light, that it was simple domestic violence.
ISIS will use anything to further its message of hatred and terrorism, so anything which can be used for propaganda will be used. However foreign leaders like Mr Trump should refrain from calling this a terrorist attack when the local authorities have disproved this. It may seem that ISIS has its hands on many pies – but this does not appear to be one of them. Unless new information is gathered, the case should rest here.
