Ishwarganj businessman Roman missing for 6 months

Even after six months of mysterious disappearance from Ishwarganj, no trace of businessman Abu Hanifa Roman has been found. Roman, son of Abu Tayab from Bhalukber Madhyapara village in Ishwarganj upazila, went missing from his stationery shop on the night of February 2 this year. Ishwarganj police and Mymensingh district Detective Police arrested few suspects and interrogated them, but could not find any clue.
Roman’s father filed a case in the Mymensingh court on July 20 accusing five people. The Police Bureau of Investigation-PBI are currently investigating the case. Roman’s mobile phone has been switched off since the store was closed at around 9:30 pm on February 2, the day of the incident. Roman’s father filed a general diary at Ishwarganj police station on February 19. At the same time, Roman’s father informed the Mymensingh district detective police about the matter. He filed a case against Mehedi Hasan Ashiq, Zahir Uddin Khan, Abdul Dalim alias Sundar Ali, Harun Mia and Zahrul Islam of the same village in the Mymensingh Senior Judicial Magistrate and Ishwarganj Court on July 20. The court directed the PBI to investigate the case. PBI-Mymensingh Superintendent of Police Gautam Kumar Biswas said police were working to unravel the mystery of the missing Roman.
