Corona ‘booster’dose starts

Ishwardi Health Center has started giving booster dose of corona from Saturday. The booster dose was inaugurated in the morning by Alhaj Nuruzzaman Biswas MP from Pabna -4 Constituency. At the time, he said our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the mother of humanity, has provided unparalleled free corona vaccine to all the people of the country.” Now he has taken steps to make people safer with booster doses.

People who have already received two doses of the vaccine receive a third dose as a booster dose. Health Officer at the hospital Dr Asma Khan said there was no need to re-register for this. Booster doses will be given to 60-year-olds and frontline workers. However, only a booster dose can be taken six months after receiving the second dose. The Department of Health’s Department of Management Information Systems and ICT has information on individuals receiving two doses. The booster dose should be taken at the center from which Gahita has taken the first two doses.

CPB’s 23rd conference held

The 23rd Conference of the Ishwardi Upazila Branch of the Communist Party of Bangladesh was held on Thursday .The conference was held in the 1st session at the party’s Upazila Office under the chairmanship of comrade Shawkat Ali. The Chief Guest was Comrade Abdur Razzak, President of Pabna District Committee. Special guests were Comrade Ahsan Habib, General Secretary of the District Committee. General Secretary Comrade Jewel Hossain Sohag discussed the report of Bir Muktijoddha Comrade Shah Alam, Bir Muktijoddha Jamat Ali Mandal, Comrade Golzar Hossain, Comrade Dr. Alok Majumder, Comrade Zahidul Islam Ripon, Comrade Lecturer Zakirul Maula Sumon, Comrade Sajal Kumar. Laxman Kumar Roy and others. In the second session, a seven-member Ishwardi Upazila Committee was formed under the chairmanship of Sajal Kumar Sarkar. Comrade Shawkat Ali has been elected chairman of the committee and comrade Dr. Alok Majumder has been elected general secretary.

Bangabandhu’s mural foundation lays

The foundation stone of the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been laid at the Awami League Office in Ishwardi on Saturday by Alhaj Nuruzzaman Biswas, MP from Pabna-4 constituency, MP Biswas said, they are proud and blessed that father of the Nation Bangabandhu was born. They are moving forward on the path of that political debt, even if it is a small amount. It is learned that the Upazila and Municipal Awami League have jointly taken initiative to establish this mural. From now on, wreaths of party and affiliated organizations will be laid on the mural of Bangabandhu established at the Awami League Office on different national days.

Law, Order Committee meet held

A meeting of the Law and Order Committee in Ishwardi was held at Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Wednesday. UNO PM Imrul Kayes presided over the function. The Chief Guest was Upazila Chairman freedom fighter Alhaj Naib Ali Biswas. Special guests were Vice Chairman Abdus Salam Khan and Atia Ferdous Kakli.
Speakers were Emdadul Haque Rana Sardar, Chairman, Sara UP, Abdul Khaleq Malitha, Chairman, Muladuli, Bakul Sardar, Chairman, Dashuria, Saifuzzaman Pintu Biswas, Chairman, Pakshi, Emlak Hossain Babu Biswas, Chairman, Sahapur UP, Swapan Kumar Kundu, President, Press Club, Social Service Officer. Masud Rana, Principal Aslam Hossain and others.
The newly elected chairman of the union council, head of the educational institution, government officials of various departments, police department and well-wishers were present.
The meeting discussed in detail the law and order situation in Ishwardi, two recent murders, proper management of workers in the Rooppur project contractor, sand extraction in the Padma, demolition of the Shara Ra dam in Sandya and extensive diversion of sand-laden drum trucks.
