Ishwardi Municipality received Prime Minister’s National Award for Tree Plantation -2019 in recognition of its special contribution in tree plantation.
On Sunday (July 24), Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Shahab Uddin MP handed over the award to Isahaoq Ali Malitha, Mayor of Ishwardi Municipality, as the chief guest of the closing ceremony of the National Tree Fair- 2022 at the Haimanti Auditorium of Agargaon Ban Bhavan, Dhaka.
Under the chairmanship of Amir Hossain Choudhury, Chief Forest Conservation Officer of the Forest Department, Deputy Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Habinun Nahar MP, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dr. Farhina Ahmed were special guests.
Mayor Isahaokq Ali Malitha said that Ishwardi municipality has been continuing the tree planting program for a long time. The municipality’s image has been enhanced by winning the National Tree Plantation Award in recognition of its outstanding contribution to tree plantation.
