On the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence and the centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib, a three-day storytelling of the liberation war and screening of films based on the liberation war was organized by the Ishwardi Upazila branch of Khelagor. Rajshahi Range Additional DIG Joydev Bhadra inaugurated the event at the foot of the Shaheed Minar at the bus terminal on Saturday afternoon.
The chief guest was Barrister Syed Ali Jiru, advisor of the playground and deputy office secretary of Pabna district Awami League. Subrata Kumar Biswas, Upazila Vice-President of Khelaghor and Lecturer of Pabna University of Science and Technology presided over the function.
Special guests were Fazlur Rahman Fantu, editor of Chetna Ishwardi Patrika, Dilruba Kajal, son of Shaheed family and advisor of Khelaghor, Additional Superintendent of Police Firoz Kabir of Ishwardi Circle, Swapan Kumar Kundu, president of Ishradi Press Club and Rajshahi coordinator of Khelaghor. Mostafizur Rahman Tufan, vice-president of the organization conducted.
Apart from the discussion in the first episode, Dilruba Kajal, a child of the martyr family, told the story of the liberation war. In the inaugural session, children and artists of the playhouse performed dance and music.
The second episode shows the liberation war based film ‘Stop Genocide’.
