The body of a cloth merchant of Ishwardi Bazar has been recovered from his rented house. Shakil alias Bhola (32) is the son of Ibrahim Hossain of Dublia village in Pratirajpur of Muladuli union. His body was recovered from a rented house in Rupnagar alley (Mahatab Colony) in front of the city’s government corridor around 10:30 pm on Friday.
Family members, well-wishers and neighbors have accused the victim’s wife Meem Khatun, 19, of involvement in the mysterious murder. Police have arrested the victim’s wife and younger brother Sabbir, 22, for questioning.
Ishwardi Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Firoz Kabir, Officer-in-Charge Asaduzzaman, along with the CID team, are said to have spent the night trying to gather clues and unravel the mystery.

Meem lost consciousness after two slaps and it was also mysterious that his hands were not tied. Meem said the stranger did not recognize the killers. He said the body had been sent for postmortem and it would be clear how he was killed after receiving the report.
