The 45th National Mourning Day of the Father of the Nation was celebrated at Ishwardi on Saturday with a pledge to turn non-communal Bangladesh into a full-fledged golden Bengal. Wreaths were laid on the mural of Bangabandhu by various organizations including Awami League, Central Awami League leader Adv. Rabiul Alam Budu, Upazila Administration, Police Administration, Municipality, Ishwardi Upazila Press Club, Lawyers Council, Rice Mill Owners Group and Muktijoddha Sangsad.
Before handing over the wreaths, mourning rallies were held in the city by various organizations including Central Awami League leader Adv. Rabiul Alam Budu, Ishwardi Upazila Press Club and Ainjibi Parishad. In the evening, doa mahfil was organized by various organizations.
