Rumana Rashid Ishita is popular face of TV dramas for many years. Though she is not regular in acting but viewers have interest to watch her acted dramas with keen interest. Ishita does not work except good story based dramas. Viewers believe that Ishita-starrer dramas are something special. After a break of more than one year, Ishita has returned to acting. She acted in a 20-minute short film titled Not Out directed by Mizanur Rahman Aryan. This short film has been made to telecast on NTV on the occasion of coming Eid-ul-Azha. Director Aryan himself wrote story of the short film.
While talking about making the short film director Aryan informed that undefeated story of a family is the story of Not Out. In the short film, Ishita will be seen to play the role of elder daughter of the family. She played the role of Tania. While asking him why he took Ishita for the role director Aryan said, “In fact, while making this short film with the character Tania I first recalled the name of Ishita Apu. I wanted she would agree to work in that role and lastly, she acted in the role of Tania. It is no doubt she is a talented actress. I request the viewers to watch the short film to give their judgment about her performance.” Shooting of the short film was done in the capital’s Uttara area on Saturday and Sunday, he also said.
While talking about acting in the short film Ishita shared her feelings by this way, “Everybody knows if I do not like the story and role, then I do not agree to work. Due to corona pandemic, except my family I did not come out from my residence. I watched Aryan’s several projects including Boro Chhele. He has an intention to present family stories in his dramas. Short film Not Out was my first work under his direction. Overall, I enjoyed working in the short film. I have request to the viewers to watch the short film which work was done during corona pandemic. We had to work hard for taking part in shooting of the short film during ongoing corona situation. I believe viewers will enjoy the short film.”
Except Ishita, Wahida Mollick Jolly, Fakhrul Bashar Masum, Khairul Bashar, among others, also acted in other roles in Not Out, she also said.
