UNB, Dhaka :A court here on Saturday placed suspected Islamic States (IS) member Fayez Ishmam Khan on a five-day remand in a case filed with Cantonment Police Station under the Anti-Terrorism Act.Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate M Hasibul Haque passed the order when inspector of Detective Branch (DB) of police Rafiqul Islam produced Fayez Ishmam Khan before his court seeking a 10-day remand.No bail petition was filed with the court for Fayez as there was no lawyer for him.Tipped off, a team of DB (north) in a drive arrested Fayez from the city’s Mirpur DOHS area on Friday night for his alleged involvement in the activities of IS, additional deputy commissioner of DB North Shah Jalal told UNB.On June 7, law enforces arrested an alleged IS member named Fida Muntasir Sakib from Banani DOHS area of the capital.According to Fida’s statement DB police arrested Fayez from Mirpur area, ADC Shah Jalal added.
