IS-freed Helal returns from Libya

Helal Uddin has returned to his Jamalpur village from Libya to a raucous reception after his captors, Islamic State militants, freed him.
The people of South Gajaria village in Madarganj were worried about Helal when they heard of the news of the capture by the Islamic State.
After returning to Bangladesh on Monday, Helal said the IS hostages had suffered from lack of food and sleep.
He expressed his gratitude to the government, the embassy and journalists.
On Tuesday, people from even adjacent villages came to see Helal.
Helal, who returned with another Bangladeshi hostage Anowar Hossain of Noakhali, said the militants freed them hearing that they were Muslim and from Bangladesh.
