Bhumi Pednekar was in tears when her debut movie Dum Laga Ke Haisha was chosen for the Best Hindi Film honour at the 63rd National Film Awards. She says she will be ready for its sequel, but she has an interesting condition.
Asked if there’s any plan for a Dum Laga Ke Haisha sequel, Bhumi, who had gained almost 30 kg for the role of an overweight woman in the movie, quipped: “Only when Ayushmaan will be gaining weight instead of me.”
On a serious note, the actress, who is now back to being fit and fabulous, said she never expected a National Award for the Sharat Katariya directorial, which was lauded by many for telling a heartwarming tale with a message.
