IRRI Representative for Bangladesh Dr Humnath Bhandari visited Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh on Wednesday. He met Vice Chancellor of BAU Prof Dr Lutful Hassan and other officials at the Vice Chancellor’s office room.

Azharul Islam of Associate Adviser of BAU, Elizabeth Anne Ali of Corporate Services Manager of IRRI, Bangladesh, Dr Ibrahim Md Saiyed of Country Manager Healthier Rice Program, IRRI, Dr Saidul Islam senior specialist-Agricultural Research and Development of IRRI, Mohammed Shaheen Bhuiya of Senior Officer-Administrative Coordination of IRRI.
Md. Ashraf Ali of Manager-project Coordination ACI-IRRI-PPP, Md. Sadikur Rahman Specialist – Communication of IRRI, Krishibid Din Mohammed Dinu, Deputy Director, Public Relations and Publications of BAU were present in the meeting. Dr Humnath Bhandari expressed his desire to extant cooperation to rice research activities of BAU.
The team also observed the progress of BAU-IRRI collaborative research activities. Later, they visited BAU Botanical Garden and BAU Germplasm Center.
