On behalf of primary school teachers in Nilphamari, a written complain has been submitted to the Director General (DG) of Primary Education Directorate in Dhaka and also Anti- corruption Commission bringing allegations including irregularities in conducting official works and misappropriation of money against the superintendent of Primary Teachers Training Institute (PTI) . Md Nayeen Shahriar, assistant teacher of Latib Chapra Govt Primary School of Sadar upazila recently filed the complain on behalf of the teachers.
In the complain, the teacher alleged that at time of their training on ICT in education course in 2014-2015 fiscal year, the PTI super Sadia Afrin Bijli submitted vouchers to accounts department with fake signatures of the trainees showing their travel allowances 2-3 times higher that the actual bill for misappropriating huge amount of money. In the complain, it was pointed out that at time of that training program, there was no arrangement on C in Ed course training on computer as there was no internet facilities in the PTI. But the super falsely submitted internet bills and misappropriated the entire money.
It was also mentioned in the complain that the accused super realized Tk 2100 as admission fee from each of the trainees instead of education board recommended fee of Tk 1000 for misappropriating additional money of 100 trainee teachers.
It was also known from the complain that inspite of govt. allocation of Tk 30,000 for sports and Tk 45,000 thousand for inter PTI cultural competition, the super forced the trainees to give Tk 200 for each for arranging both the programs for evil intention of making money.
The super also forcibly realised additional money in the name of establishment fees even from the trainees who did not live in the hostel.
The applicant attached the relevant documents with the written complain as proof of his allegations requesting both the concerned authorities to investigate the matter for taking legal course of action against the accused PTI superintendent.
While contacted, the accused PTI super Sadia Afrin Bijli defended herself saying that the then office assistant prepared all the bills and placed before her for putting her signature.
” I can’t go through go through all the bills and vouchers for which any mistake might happen for which I’m not responsible,” She also said.
