Popular face of the small screen Ireen Tany earlier acted for several times in the big screen. With the interest from the director for the first time she is going to work in a movie titled Maya in Kolkata. Shankar Ghosh will give direction of the film. He has confirmed that matter on Sunday.
Ireen Tany informed that shooting of Maya will start from May 9 in Digha, Kolkata. She will play in the title role of the movie. While sharing her feelings to work in Kolkata’s movie for first time Tany told this correspondent, “With the interest of its director I am going to act in film Maya. Director had interest to cast a Bangladeshi actress. So I sent him some photographs of mine. Then he decided to cast me finally. Now I am taking necessary preparation to work in the film. I am very much excited in this regard. I believe it will become a nice work.”
Tany also informed that she has already finished shooting of Golam Mostafa Shimul’s movie Lobon. Under same dirctor’s direction she has also acted in an Eid play titled Bhalo Korey Bashbo Bhalo Tomai. Fazlur Rahman Babu and Shyamol Mawla are her co-actors in this play.
Therefore, recently Ireen Tany has returned from Kushtia after finishing shooting of Salauddin Lavlu’s six-episode serial Chirokumar Mone Mone, which will be aired on Banglavision in Eid. Arfan Ahmed, Tahmina Sultana Mou, Anny Khan, Shyamol Mawla, among others, also acted with Tany in this play.
It is mentioned that Ireen Tany acted first movie was Badol Khondoker’s Bidrohi Padma. Recently she has finished shooting of Sabbir Mahmud’s movie The Lonnie. Now she is regularly acting in Kochi Khondoker and Joy-Rubel directed serials Cinema Hall and Khandani Poribar respectively.
