A two-member delegation led by Prof. A.A. Rostami Abusaeedi, Chancellor of the Payame Noor University, Iran called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique on December 13, 2015 at the latter’s office of the university. Other team member was Dr. Alireza Taheri, Professor of the same university. Associate Prof. of the Department of Persian Language and Literature of DU Dr. Abu Musa Md. Arif Billah was present on this occasion.
During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs between Dhaka University and Payame Noor University, Iran. They also discussed regarding exchange of faculty members, research materials, information and data between the two universities. They agreed to sign a MoU in this regard soon. Besides, the Iranian delegate expressed his keen interest to provide more scholarships to DU students for higher study in Iran.
