Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abbas Vaezi on Monday called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter’s office.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes on biological sciences, mechatronics engineering, nuclear engineering, nanotechnology, art, film and television by the University of Dhaka and higher educational institutions in Iran.
“Iran government is willing to provide more scholarships to DU students for higher study in Iran. Besides, different universities in Iran want to introduce joint PhD programmes with the University of Dhaka”, the Iranian
Envoy informed the VC.
They have agreed to sign a MoU in this regard soon. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique said the friendly relationship between Bangladesh and Iran has been prevailing for long.
