Iran won three gold medals from the five men’s freestyle events competed on the fifth day of the 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships on Saturday. In the 65kg category, Rahman Amoudzadkhalili of Iran defeated Indian Bajrang Punia for the title, while bronze medals went to Japanese Kaiki Yamaguchi and Uzbekistani Abbos Rakhmonov. His compatriot Ali Savadkouhi claimed gold in the 79kg category after beating Indian Gourav Baliyan, with the bronze medals shared by Kyrgyzstani Arsalan Budazhapov and Japanese Yudai Takahashi.
